Was not sure exactly what movie this was …
Scalli is a gangster who manages women wrestlers as a front for his bookmaking, drug, and prostitution rackets. He trusts the wrong people and ends up trying to run away from both the police and mysterious mob boss Mr. Big, to whom he owes $35,000. This film features real-life wrestlers Peaches Page, Clara Mortensen (world champion wrestler), and Rita Martinez (champion of Mexico).
The guy with the dark hair and the moustache was the narrator of “Glen or Glenda”, an Ed Wood classic!
Terrible acting… LOL. And blatant objectification of women. So 1950s! Check out how she’s shown “jogging,” and “jumping rope” in that skin-tight sweater. Geez… In a weird way it all reminds me of Mad Men (not the bad acting part of course).
Produced by George Weiss who also did Glen or Glenda, the Olga roughie films — Olga’s House of Shame etc. — and dozens of similar sleazy exploitation, nudist colony and burlesque stripper films.
Timothy Farrell was also in The Violent Years and The Devil’s Sleep…
Thanks for the info!
anytime man….
Mr. Weiss was truly a cult-movie maker if there ever was one!
This film gave us a very underrated MST3K episode.
Nice going MST3K
